Details:
An incredible display of nacreous clouds here in Herne Bay through cloud breaks lasted roughly 40 minutes from 16:00 to 16:40 UTC. I do not recall ever seeing records of such bright nacreous clouds from here in SE England and this looks as if it could be the first sighting here since February 1996. This is a very rare phenomenon, especially for Herne Bay which sits +15N south of the Arctic Circle and the UFO-esque rainbow blobs are certainly the most odd and fantastic optical phenomenon I've seen. These were to the SW too at around 10/15 degrees up and the pictures were taken at 16:09 UTC & 16:12 UTC.
