Wow what a night. Possibly the greatest display of the Aurora Australis in my ten years living here in New Zealand. Remember it is summer here so it doesn't get dark until close to 11pm. As the sky darkened, the aurora danced in the south. But after midnight the sky exploded into bright beams! I had to fire up my fisheye lens to capture the whole display, but the display itself was bright enough to be captured on my ancient iPhone 12! Wow!
