Solar wind data appeared unsettled to me along with speed and density steadily rising for at least the past 24 hours, so with a clear sky and despite the bright first quarter gibbous moonlight I found some brief waves and pillar flashes of pink just over the treetops appearing after 0200Z in the one-hour loop from 0130-0230Z. [One-hour of exposures 800/15s/f1.5; Solar wind past 24h from NOAA, Sub-storm Kp bouncing around and upward to 4; Solar wind datum at 0207Z aurora spikes from NOAA]
