Details:
After the outburst of Comet 12P Pons-Brooks a large coma is forming that has increased the comet to mag 9. Blue-green color of the coma is now apparent. This fourth outburst of 12P Pons-Brooks is indicating that as in prior observations this is an active comet. The 1884 observations in particular show the potential of this comet to be a significant astronomy event in the months ahead. It is already an amazing object. This montage is a continuation of the iTelescope T11 series in prior posts (9 x60 sec) with a color image from 150 mm refractor, iTelescope T2, also 9 x 60 sec. Within a few more days this coma is likely to expand into a huge bright colorful body and it seems without the "devil horns" of the prior outbursts. With the activity seen it is unlikely this is the last outburst and the best is yet to come as the comet moves closer to the Sun.
