Details:
Skies were clear with a few cirrus clouds in Richfield, Utah, where I observed a fine annular eclipse. All these shots are with my iPhone 15 Pro Max telephoto, and while the sun itself is over-exposed, the eclipse phases show up beautifully in the ghost images in the lens. Note one of the shots was taken just before 1st contact, so the sun ghost is a whole globe. On any bright day, if you take a picture of the unobstructed sun in a corner of the camera frame, you would see this same dot in the lens flare: it's an image of the solar disk!
