Details:
The eclipse was photographed and observed in a public activity in collaboration with the Hiking Club of Catalonia (CEC), a cultural and sports organization dedicated to nature and mountaineering founded in 1876 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiking_Club_of_Catalonia). From the sanctuary of Puiggraciós (https://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santuari_de_Puiggraciós), near Barcelona, we were able to follow the evolution of the eclipse in perfect conditions. The image is a combination of 40 pictures obtained at the moment of the maximum of the eclipse (20h 15 min UT) to obtain a final image of higher definition and with the real colors of the Moon. A small telescope (a catadioptric 127 mm aperture) and a mirrorless camera were used. The colored areas of the lunar surface show relative abundance of certain minerals, with yellow-browns of iron oxides and blues of titanium. On the right around the Earth's umbra is the reddish color due to sunlight filtered by the Earth's atmosphere and projected onto the Moon.
