Details:
There was significant cloud cover for most of the eclipse, offering only the occasional glimpse of the sun and moon. But, just before the annular phase, the clouds were thick enough to act as a filter but thin enough to clearly see the eclipsed sun. I was able to view and photograph that phase without a solar filter. One of the most amazing eclipses I have ever seen.
