Details:
I purposely viewed the eclipse from near the edge of the annularity path in order to maximize Baily's Beads. My wife and I were 2.5 miles/4.0 kms from the northern edge near Lamesa, Texas. I recorded video of annularity with two cameras, one with a solar filter and one without. The filtered one was taken with a Nikon P900, at 285mm, which is equivalent to about 1600mm on a full-sized sensor. The unfiltered one was taken with a Sony A1, Sony 200-600mm lens with 2x teleconverter at about 1100mm, 4K video. These videos are available at my web site www.evanzucker.com and on my YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@ezucker/videos I also shot a series of photos with a third camera at a fixed exposure showing how dark it really got. The time lapse is at my web site and YouTube channel.
