Details:
I set out to photograph the annular eclipse along the centerline from Midland, TX. I was curious if I could capture the Baily's Beads phenomenon, so I intentionally overexposed the sun, and was surprised to see that I faintly captured some solar prominences as the lunar limb approached the edge of the solar disk. Prominences are not something typically associated with annular eclipses, so it was exciting to see. This is a video frame taken with a Canon R5 shooting 4K crop video, 1/13s exposure at ISO400 through a Celestron C-11 XLT with Baader solar film.
