Details:
I went out to take a couple of shots of the Harvest Moon and had just got the camera dialed in when I seen this jet about to pass in front of it. I barely captured it but I finally grabbed a shot that has eluded me for years. I live about two hours from a large airport so these captures are very rare around here but here it is: FedEx Flight FDX1423. A 1991 McDonnell Douglas MD-11 FedEx cargo jet cruising along at 557 MPH at an altitude of 36,000 feet above Gridley Kansas that had left Memphis Tennessee just 43 minutes earlier bound for Seatac Airport in Seattle Washingtom after a 1,884 mile trip. Shot with a Pentax K-5 manual mode @300MM F5.8 - ISO 200 with a shutter speed of 1/1000 hand held.
