Details:
The auroras were dim in Southwest Missouri, Plus the northern horizon in Joplin Missouri has a mass of 69 wind turbines with bright red lights on top of them creating a red glow all its own. But getting north of the turbines I could barely make out a faint red glow on the horizon. The camera pulled out the aurora very clearly. Pentax K-3, 10-17 mm zoom lens. ISO 6400, 2-minute exposure, F11.
