A show of the aurora down to here in SE England. The ninth time I have caught it here this year which definitely shows solar maximum is certainly nearing! A good show for the start of the season and hopefully a good sign for things to come.
I could make out the aurora glow from the brighter rays in the third image from the light-polluted fest of my garden which is something I haven't seen since the March aurora display.
The Bz was also rising during all of these shots after dropping down to -18 which seems like it was squeezing out all its energy before going kaput just before 10 pm. Higher up the auroral oval was much more prevalent although I decided to leave the camera where it was.
