Faint display photographed between about 02:00-02:50 UT on September 18 (22:00-22:50 EDT Sep. 17) over Taylor Pond, Mt. Vernon, Maine. The aurora was not visible to the naked eye. Despite a Kp value of only about 3, I knew a display was happening due to images from a webcam at the New England Outdoor Center on Millinocket Lake, Maine. Details about the photos: 02:18 UT. Exposure = 61 seconds. 02:48 UT. Exposure = 35 seconds. Eqiupment: Canon 70D equipped with a 17-55 mm lens set at 17 mm f/2.8 mounted on a fixed tripod.
