After Spaceweather indicated a G1 storm was brief on Sep 12 and had subsided we were treated to an unexpected multiband parade of auroral bands that swept over our lodge around midnight. They kept forming and popping up in various parts of the sky. The bands were bright enough to be seen by local sled dogs who were heard howling throughout the maximum.
