Details:
Clouds covered Comet C/2023 P1 (Nishimura) yesterday morning, but this morning 2023 Sept 11 was mostly clear. The comet appeared above the Catalina Mountains at 1220UT (520AM) in bright orange twilight skies. The comets tail was not visible in the bright twilight. The comet may not be visible tomorrow morning as it rises above the Catalina Mountains 15 minutes later at 535AM in very bright twilight skies, this morning the comet appeared above the Catalina Mountains at 520AM. Of course, rain may make any attempt to see the comet tomorrow morning futile. Click on the animation or the picture to see a better resolution version.
