Details:
While everyone is concentrating on Comet Nishimura nearby in Leo, Venus silently passes by the open star cluster M67 in Cancer. Even at 1/160 sec its brilliance overexposes the camera's sensor, yielding what looks like half phase rather than the moderate crescent that it is. The sky's slight blue cast is due to imaging mostly during dawn astronomical twilight.
