Details:
Venus demonstrated just a sliver of illumination as it passed a little more than 7 degrees from the Sun. The image was taken with a 130mm, F=910mm refractor along with a 4X Barlow, Baader Red longpass filter and ASI 183MM camera. Care was taken to avoid having the Sun in the field of view by having a well-aligned solar finder (to confirm the Sun was not present) on a well-aligned scope and using go-to to obtain Venus and then centering it on the computer screen.
