Details:
With large puffy clouds and lots of wind, Venus was playing hide and seek during the morning of Inferior Conjunction here in Southeastern Pennsylvania. With an aligned Go To mount I was able to slew to our sister world less than 8 degrees separated from the Sun. Unfortunately, I could not detect the ghostly ring surrounding the disk but the 0.9% illuminated crescent was quite impressive. This capture was obtained using a Celestron EDGE C9.25 inch SCT at f/10 and a ZWO ASI 290mm camera equipped with a near IR610nm filter.
