Details:
Venus was much easier to spot than what I anticipated. It still retains a bright -4.12 magnitude 0.9% illuminated disk and is still over 8 degrees away from the Sun. Using a GOTO mount is a must in order to safely spot our sister world. I was able to capture Venus less than 24 hours from inferior conjunction using a Celestron C9.25 EDGE HD SCT with a ZWO ASI290mm camera equipped with an IR610 filter.
