Details:
Venus images with and without neutralized background. Venus wasn't too hard to find as I used a solar finder to first sync the scope so Venus was pretty close to the slewed location. Taken with a Celestron C9.25 XLT and ASI178MC camera. The setup is shown in Slide 3. A dome setup works very well for shielding from the sun. Probably used only a quarter of the scope as I used the door opening and rotation of the dome to shield all the optics from the glare of the sun.
