The recent G3 geomagnetic storm reported on Spaceweather.com rattled my magnetometer here in the UK. After a period of relative calm in recent days, the rate of change chart presented here clearly shows the progression of geomagnetic unrest as it developed from low levels into a fully fledged storm.
