Details:
I was able to record new spot AR3372 (just rotating on to the rim) flaring today (M1) at around 16:13 UT on 7/11/23. There have been at least a half-dozen of these M flares today! Interestingly enough, the flare itself was just a small area...as most of it was still just over the edge of the sun. But, it shot out a nice spray-prominence. Unfortunately, due to passing cumulus clouds, I was not able to record a movie. But, I attached a picture of the flare shooting out a loop before becoming a spray....and I also attached a sequence of images showing the development over time of the spray prominence from that M1 flare. And, lest we forget....large sunspot 3363 also looked good. 127 mm f/9.4 refractor, Quark-C/Lunt tilt-tune double-stack filter, ASI174mm camera.
