The sun today... the giant sunspot AR 3363 in its most beautiful development. I won't soon forget this shot... Not only because of the wonderful sight of the sun and today's perfect seeing (1, perfect, was able to use almost all the individual frames!), but also because of the intense heat. 32 degrees today in the shade, 36 degrees in the garden house resp. observatory. I thought long and hard about setting up the sun equipent. 50 degrees from the floorboards of my observation terrace below and the heat from above! All the black parts of the telescope and the 6D also got really warm... I was glad that I had the frames in the box. 45 degrees sensor temperature... It was worth it! Taken in my garden observatory… Intes 150/900 MN + Canon EOS 6D + Baader VIP Barlow (F=1996 mm, Factor 2,21 x) + TS neutral density filter ND 0.9, (1.25", 13% transmission) + Baader solar film OD 3.8 (photographic), 13 x 1/400s, ISO 100
