Details:
Appearing akin to a Martian atmosphere, the image at left shows the sun here today. 'Straight out of the camera', without modifications to hue or saturation, although it appears as if it had just risen; the pine tree, whose very top is shown in the lower portion of the image, is actually only about 30 feet from the back of our home where I took this shot, and the tree itself is over 100 feet tall - this is not a sunrise - the Sun at this point in time was over 50 degrees above the horizon ! It looks eerily apocalyptic !!!
