AR 3315 sunspot is spanned by impressive light bridges of hot and suspended solar gas. Note that the image is made using as telescope just a refractor 13 cm. Known as light bridges, these structures may form as large sunspot groups decay. This short animation displays the light bridges detected: Raw frames no processing filter applied.
