Details:
On Sunday 21st the young (2 day old) 4.2 % illuminated waxing Crescent Moon was observed setting behind the summit of Transmitter Hill in a Volcanic Sunset. The Moon was initially very difficult to see above the glare of a bright twilight arch at 5.36 pm but this receded and faded so rapidly that the crescent set in approaching darkness at 6.0 pm. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
