Details:
The data for aurora on May 19th looked good but I didn't think it was going to turn out like this! My 11 year old son and I were treated to a vibrant astronomical twilight auroral display northeast of Kenora, Ontario, Canada, on the shore of Silver Lake. The aurora was out as the sun was setting with a corona directly overhead with coloured rays and bands in the eastern part of the sky, which moved to the northeast. It eventually transformed into a vivid, bright green rayed arc which moved into the northern sky. Photos taken between 10:25pm-11:15pm CST on a Sony a7riii with a Sigma 14-24mm 2.8 lens. f2.8, ISO 2000, 2-4s exposures.
