Details:
Clear skies in the early mornings and evening on two consecutive days provided a rare opportunity to photograph the recent Full Moon setting, rising and setting again as shown in the accompanying montage and three separate pairs of images. The first pair were taken while the Moon was descending in darkness in the pre-dawn sky to the WSW of Mutare at 5.16 and 5.25 am on 5th May. The second pair were taken within half-a-minute of each other while the Moon was rising to the East above Cecil Kop Nature Reserve at 5.38 pm on the same day. The third pair were taken at 6.01 and 6.18 am on 6th May while the Moon was descending behind a pink and orange Belt of Venus to the southwest at Sunrise. Cameras: Tripod-mounted and hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in manual and sunset modes.
