Details:
First time visiting Mt. Rushmore. We arrived late, only a few people there. Had been informed by friends and the Ranger on duty that the auroras were expected so we stuck around for just a bit. Talk about crazy luck! The auroras lit up the sky from West to East and I was able to capture these once in lifetime images. The show at the Monument quieted down so we left but once we were further down the road, the sky lit up again. Had to pull over and capture the amazing scene unfolding in front of us.
