Details:
I saw the space weather on spaceweather.com and the auroral oval model - at about midnight PDT (~0700UT) I went outside into the dark away from my property and saw a faint glow to the north beyond the nearby Inyo Mountains. I took a 1 minute exposure with a LUMIX camera not on a fast ISO - I had to vastly brighten it up via my iMac but there was the red glow! The disappointing photo only shows blobby red patches, however... (I used to enjoy auroral photography from Ak and Canada in the 90s to 2001..) SpM
