Details:
Here's a few of the better pics I shot last night of the Aurora from Wellingtons South Coast at the Ataturk Memorial Carpark. This provided some shielding from the city lights and the wind, although cars driving past meant having to wait. Shot between 21:30 and 22:00 NZDT LAT: -41.342S LONG: 174.819E Canon EOS 60D, Tripod, ISO: 4000, Exposure: 10s, Rokinon 14mm f2.8 lens, Colour temp: 3900k, Center weighted average, Remote shutter release. Some beautiful hues of red and magentas came through, along with some light pillars visible. Such a great sight!
