Details:
Two days ago departing comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) was visible less than half degree from NGC 1637 which is an isolated spiral galaxy cca. 32 million light-years away from us. The comet has dimmed significantly in the past weeks (now fainter than mag. 9) but still has a relatively large dust tail and its green coma contrasts nicely with the beige hue of the galaxy. Raw LRGB images (24 mins total) were acquired remotely from Namibia using 20" AG Optical iDK telescope via the Skygems Observatories Network, calibrated and processed with Siril and the comet-only and background-only versions composited in Gimp.
