This Amazing Blue Jet event was captured by Hank Shyma. This event was captured using a Sony A7s camera at 30 fps. Hank Shyma was the first to discover the Green "Ghost" TLE phenomena that has appeared with not only Sprites but also Gigantic Jet events. The "Ghost" is believed to be Oxygen molecules that are excited by electrons high up in the upper atmosphere that emit green photons. This event did not have a Ghost event but he did manage to capture a spectacular Blue Jet event that shows the entire storm cell and the Lightning activity just before it appeared. This research is still ongoing and hopefully this event will be fully analyzed to give us some answers as to how this type of phenomena is generated.
