On Thursday 23rd, clearing cloud between 6.30 and 7.15 pm provided glimpses of the alignment of the three-day-old Waxing Crescent Moon, Jupiter and Venus in a volcanic sunset coloured sky above Murahwa Mountain and Christmas Pass. Jupiter is approaching Venus for a much anticipated close conjunction on 1-2 March. Camera: Tripod-Mounted Panasonic Lumix ZS40 in sunset and night scenery modes.
