Details:
This set of images shows C2020 E3 ZTF over five days beginning when it was crossing Earth's orbit and displayed the anti-tail. The anti-tail and ion tail are much reduced in the subsequent days from the perspective of an Earth-bound observer. The images were acquired January 24-28, 2023. All images were captured with a Vixen VSD 100 mm astrograph and a Nikon Z7II camera. Each is 50 x 20 seconds at iso 1250 stacked and then processed.
