When the weather forecast finally showed a clear sky I had to go outside to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. As I made my way into a nearby swamp the moon caught my attention and after setting up a timelapse I noticed the cloud iridescence right above, what a nice surprise! Initially I thought it were Polar Stratospheric Clouds as they have been reported on yesterday, also in Rovaniemi. But with the sun already 39 degrees below the horizon I'm not expecting them to be, or could they be moonlit Polar Stratospheric Clouds?
