Details:
At 6.30 pm on Saturday 21st January there was a 5 minute letterbox sunset through a narrow gap between a sheet of cloud and the horizon to the WSW of Mutare in which the giant sunspot AR3190 is clearly visible on the surface of the setting Sun in a x6 speed time-lapse animation. This was prepared from 250 frame captures extracted from an HD25P MP4 video taken with a tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode with a x60 magnification zoom lens and electronic view finder.
