Details:
My first attempt at C/2022 E3. Canon M6 Mark ii with Sigma EF 150-600mm f5-6.3 Contemporary lens at 600mm, f6.3 on an iOptron SkyGuider Pro on Meade heavy-duty field tripod. 103 10-second exposures at ISO 1600, stacked using DeepSkyStacker in star-trail comet mode (had to mark the comet nucleus in each frame). 10 darks, 10 flats, 10 dark flats, and 10 bias frames. Exposures were taken in 2 sequences of 10 minutes each with a 2-minute break between - that's why the star trails have a break in the middle. Exposures started at 3:14 AM ET 1/18/2023 from Tarpon Springs, FL in Bortle 4/5 skies with some light pollution towards the comet. Final processing done with DxO Photolab. The nucleus was well defined. Stacking 50 exposures wasn't enough to clearly show the tails and reduce the noise to acceptable levels, but >100 frames gave good results with the tail just visible. Total exposure 17 minutes. The comet is definitely green as reported --- the M6ii is very good at showing accurate colors.
