Details:
The 36.1 hour old, 3.4% illuminated crescent Moon joined Venus and Mercury after sunset on Christmas Eve, 2022. In addition to Venus and Mercury being observed with unaided eyes, so were Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. A little later in twilight, Uranus and Neptune were seen with 8x42 binoculars, so all seven planets (plus earth) were observed in less than an hour.
This snapshot was taken with a Canon EOS RP camera and a Canon 200 mm f/2.8L lens on a fixed tripod. It was exposed 1/60 second at f/2.8, ISO 1600 and daylight white balance.
