Details:
After reaching a very deep activity minimum in 2019, the sun increased its activity year after year. So far this year, the sun has only been without visible spots for a single day. This Sunday, December 11, our star allows us to see 7 active regions on its surface containing spots, many filaments and also several prominences. Undoubtedly, this beautiful landscape is a clear indicator that our star continues in the race towards the maximum of solar activity expected for the years 2024/2025. To take this picture I used a Coronado Solarmax II 90mm aperture single stack solar telescope and a ZWO 183MM camera.
