Details:
On the evening of December 1, 2022 near sunset, a solar pillar was observed from southern BC, Canada from a mountain 2000 feet above the valley. Usually sun pillars shine upwards but being on a mountain, the ice crystals were below and the pillar shone downwards. If you look closely, you can see the crystals.
