Details:
Taken at 3:51AM, this Leonids Meteor may have been associated with a predicted surge a few hours earlier. This meteor was the brightest member captured this night although the peak occurred under cloud cover between 11PM and 12:30AM (MST) during the forecasted surge. It was clear all night except during this critical period (go figure). The moon is out of frame on the right. I managed to record several fainter Leonids (more than during the morning of 17 Nov) so I would say that the predicted surge in activity verified although not more than a peak of 20 meteors per hour. I am still capturing the northern Taurids: www.flickr.com/photos/79387036@N07/52510786543.
