Sunday's 98% illuminated moonrise between Crestone Peak (14,300' left) and Crestone Needle (14,203' right), in southern Colorado. It was a dress rehearsal for Monday's full moonrise at sunset, to be followed by a total lunar eclipse before dawn on Tuesday. Eclipse info for your location can be found at https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/lunar/2022-november-8. Nikon Z9, 100-400mm Nikkor (at 400mm). ISO 500, f9 @ 1/1000 sec on sturdy tripod.
