Details:
October 22nd, Venus is in superior conjunction. Venus passes the Sun 1 degrees above the Sun. I have followed Venus on its trip around the Sun. When Venus is seen close to the Sun, the images are taken during the day because there is too much turbulence in the atmosphere close to the horizon. At the top of the picture, you can see the upper conjunction. Venus is behind the Sun and fully illuminated. After the superior conjunction, Venus is seen to the left of the Sun. It is in decreasing phase, but it comes closer to us and gets a larger diameter. It is seen in the evening. As in the picture, Venus is seen to the left of the Sun, and it sets after sunset. At the bottom of the picture, Venus is between the Sun and the Earth. The sun shines on the side facing away from Earth, so we can't see it. After the inferior conjunction, it is seen to the right of the Sun, and it rises before sunrise. It is visible in the morning. That can be seen on the right side of the picture, and we can see it is in the increasing phase, but it will also be smaller in diameter, because it is going further away.
