Details:
The skies cleared around 11:00 pm Central Time and there was a decent display of aurora. The visual display weakened for about an hour and then briefly exploded with dancing pillars. This brief period of activity was bright enough that the red and green colours were easily visible to the naked eye. This intense display only lasted about 15 minutes and then subsided around 12:30 a.m. Not bad for an unexpected moderate G2 storm.
