Details:
Plane view: Earth cruising between the two largest members of our solar system at the equinox gives an unusual chance to see and photograph them rise or set in the same place, despite being on opposite sides of us. Just under 12 hours after Jupiter rose, the sun followed in the same place this morning as it descended across the zero degree line. Closer than they have been to us in many decades, Io, Jupiter, Callisto, Europa and Ganymede appear to play around a rocky chunk of Earth September 21, although they are not quite this close.
