Details:
Later Friday night Sept 10th at 6:00 UT, I had the opportunity to image Ganymede as it entered Jupiter's shadow. It was easier to do some imaging at first, but it got pretty tough when Ganymede went into the shadow. With less light to deal with, the job of stacking the images was difficult. Surprisingly, some details in the first image of Ganymede can be seen. That bright spot on the right side of the disk is a rayed crater, Tros. It matches very well with the WinJUPOS Simulator.
