Details:
Although the kp value was low I decided to go out ahead of the incoming storm when I saw a lingering weak aurora. My intended spot was a bad choice due to streetlights pollution so I went to my backup spot by some powerlines instead. After a lot of waiting while listening to wild animals making a ruckus I finally got rewarded with a great display. This was also the first time I heard crackling in the power lines from the geomagnetic activity which was fun!
