Last night we were out under the stars shooting a time lapse sequence for an educational video about telescopic observing. From 20:00 to 22:00 UT we witnessed an unusually high rate of late Perseid activity. We saw about a dozen fireballs, all of them with a brightness of around -4mag. One of the fireballs at 21:45 UT was captured by the camera.
