Details:
Today, my solar imaging was delayed by clouds.....and that was lucky! I was able to image a large stable prominence right next to an unexpected erupting prominence.....giving the appearance of one ginormous prominence! The scope and camera I used could not even capture the whole thing. So, the first image is a 2-frame mosaic with a 127mm f/9.4 scope. The second image (16 minutes later) is with a 120mm f/8.3 scope to capture it all in a single shot. In that 16 minutes, the erupting prominence had ejected considerably away from the sun. On the 127mm mosaic image, notice the different appearance of the stable prominence on the right and the erupting prominence on the left! 127 and 120mm scopes, Daystar Quark Chromosphere filter, ZWO ASI174mm camera.
